MOTIVATION LETTER

In
this letter, I am interested in stating my personal interest is applying for a
Master's Degree in Engineering and Computer Science with specialization in Data
Mining Specialist and Computational Foundations at the Australian National
University, as I believe that this particular programme is the best step for
preparing my long-term journey to be a Professor of Scientific Computing. This
degree can be utilized to access wider a corporate career, as well as a path to
further academic undertakings. The main reason for applying is the education
background that I have, that is computer science which is needed in real world.
But to complete the study, I also need a scholarship from the Australian
National University as a support to be able to finish college.
I
can say that, because I always had this passion and big interest for the field
of Computer and I also greatly uphold in learning. I always want to study and
get the new knowledge, so I always search the way to continue my study until I
know that in Indonesia there is a scholarship named Engineering and Computer
Scientist at the Australian National University. I choose this university
because this university is the first grade in Australia and ranked 20 in the
world (QS World University Rankings 2017-2018) and also in Australian National
University is recognized in international for standard high teaching and
quality of superior research.
Since
I've known the education world which starting from basic to the university that
is as fresh graduate of System Information at the Gunadarma University, I have
never ditching or leaving my learning time for something that is not comparable
with what I would get at the place of education. Because according to me, if I
am ditching one day, then how much science that I would waste and I think that
I would be one step behind my friends. As William Arthur Ward, "Study
while others are sleeping; Work while others are loafing; Prepare while others
are playing; And dream while others want". The words that is continuous to
motivate me to be the fast when everyone else else is just a wasting time for
things that are are not useful. It is True, if it is said that time is money,
the more time is wasted, the more chance of missing anyway.
During
a lecture in the major of computer science, it turn out me that computer
science has an important role in achieving the vision and mission of the end of
my life. Therefore, my goal is getting stronger with the introduction of the
computer world that makes the life become more practical, effective, and
efficient. Equipped with computer science, adequate facilities, and also with
the lab course experience gained not only from the theory but practice so I
could implement a programming language that is studied in the world of
business.
My
bachelor’s degree program gave me a lot of opportunity in different computer
fields like: data mining analysis, website design, managing databases, and
learn with many programming languages. One of them is a brief professional
experience as a making the application of data mining are used to gain new
knowledge in the form of simple patterns in determining business strategies, create
a java desktop application project use the cashier in a small Organization, and
also to create a website using the programming language XML.
Having
reviewed information of this program and the structure of the course, I am
confident that the Master of Computation at the Australian National University
will make me qualified in meeting my future aspirations of becoming an
exceptional Scientific Computing and this will be highly valuable to my
experience and also give the opportunity to undertake research of personal or
professional relevance in apply systematic computing approaches. Continuing
education of Master’s Degree in Australian National University is my desire and
ambition to make a difference in my lives will allow me to bring about the
realization of my dream and as a Scientific Computing candidate, I would hope
that I can give contribution to develop computing in my country. Through this
motivation letter, it is a great expectations to continue education of Master’s
Degree (S2) in Australian National University as a graduate student.
